Kallador Doomhark, the Herald of Lord Eiterfex

Not much is known of the lunatic Doomhark, the howling, deranged maniac who drags a vast plague bell to battle. That he is formidable is beyond question, but it is not this which causes enemies of the Synod of Suffering to quail in fear when he approaches. For Doomhark is the Herald, the outrider, the tribune of decay who clears the way for the master of the Synod himself. Where Doomhark treads, Lord Eiterfex will not be far behind...

This conversion was inspired by the idea of the wargear item 'The Dolorous Knell', and evolved quickly from there. I imagine a violently unpredictable, fever-crazed psychopath, screaming out wild proclamations as he tears through his enemies, heralding the onslaught of the dreaded Lord Eiterfex himself. The Synod of Suffering's master has been elusive since I started this blog, despite his name floating around a lot. But if Doomhark has arrived, Lord Eiterfex is not far away...

Super easy conversion, this. I started with the 'Easy to Build' Lord of Contagion. I had other uses for his weapons, but that was okay asI had an idea for him. I had a spare set of Lord of Contagion arms with most of a Plaguereaper lying about (the axe head was used for my Belisarius Cawl model). Fitting this pair of arms to the model did require some brute force and filling, but it wasn't too bad.

For his head, I used a spare Putrid Blightking head. It had the right wild, deranged look to it, and wasn't close to being as silly as the model's official head.

Attaching the Nightmare Bell was... well... okay, it wasn't a nightmare, no matter how much I want to say it. But it was an exercise in patience and required a very serious bit of pinning. I left it a full day to set after that. But after that he was ready to go... an insane messenger of greater horrors to come...
