Librarian Gorgath of the Brass Reapers

This bloke isn't quite as simple as he looks, but he could have been a lot worse.

The base was the Chaos Champion from the Dark Vengeance boxset. The first job was to saw off all of the chaos iconography. After that, things got really sticky.

I liked the pose, but I had to get rid of his chaosy chest. This was an awkward operation which involved sawing, drilling and ultimately levering the front half of the torso off, then trimming the resulting mess down enough that I could fit an aquila chest onto it. Once that was done, it was comparatively easy going!

I replaced the icon on the end of the staff with a brazier taken from a Skaven warlord, and hung a few random skulls from his belt. Replacing his arm with a plasma pistol was easy enough, as was the addition of the Marauder Horseman head.

With the edition of a jeweller's chain to the weapons and a coil of wire to the base, he was good to go!
